30 day blog challenge – Yippie, I did it!
This is my last blog in this series. Very proud of myself and I want to share with you what it takes to complete the 30 days in time – in my case in 31 days, as I had one day where I couldn’t do anything.
Before you start your challenge, take stock and check out if you’ve got it to see it through. If not yet, you most likely need to develop some skills or activities to be ready. What do you need?
Self-belief – Believe in yourself, believe you can do it. You need that positive attitude to get through.
Confidence – you know you can do it, you will have to work for it, but you know that if you do, you will achieve your 30 days
Creativity – Finding topics to write about can be challenging, but think out of the box, dissect your topics and see if you can use one in different ways.
Time – I was surprised how much more time it took than anticipated, especially in the beginning. Towards the end all became easier and quicker, but you still have to allocate time.
Focus – I made it one of my objectives in January and I needed that focus to make the choice to write and post a blog, instead of doing something else
Planning – the best way is to plan your blogs, plan when to write and make sure you have a few on the backburner, just in case you hit a day where you don’t seem to have any time. You can collect photos beforehand and how about planning a mini-series around a similar topic?
Flexibility – sometimes life gets in the way and you need to be able to cope with that. Regardless how well you planned, life has a tendency to get in the way. And it is important you can shrug your shoulders and realise that sometimes that is just what it is…….
I am done for now with the daily blogs, but not dusted. I will get back in the scene of the 30 day blogging challenge in a few weeks. And I absolutely loved it, the challenge of producing on a daily basis, the interaction in the group, the great blogs posted by group members and the things I learned thanks to Sarah and Kevin.
