A few thoughts about narcissistic abuse

Narcissistic abuse can only take place if the narcissist finds their enabler. The enabler becomes the victim and the abuse becomes a reality. If there is no enabler, the narcissist can behave in any way they want, but their efforts will go up in smoke.

In a relationship between two people, each would have 50% of the power and therefore a strong influence.

If each one knows how to step into their power.

In relationships with a narcissist, it is them who undermine the position and power of their victim and as a result the victim feels powerless.

Working your way out of narcissistic abuse requires knowledge about the disorder, self-awareness on how you are affected, skills on how to deal with emotional abuse and the last step would be the healing, leaving it all behind and taking valuable life lessons that support you for the rest of your life. This process can take a long time, but it doesn’t need to take a long time to make fundamental changes.

Narcissistic abuse is more widespread than I ever imagined. Since my first self-help book came out, I was continuously contacted by people who never knew what was wrong in their lives. Until they read my story. And realised how similar our experiences were. How they, like me, were a victim of narcissistic abuse.

I went through my own process of getting more information and knowledge, then allowing myself the emotions that I’d suppressed for decades, learning how to deal with my narcissist and ultimately reaching that place where I have integrated my experiences in my life and feel at peace and at ease.

GROUP versus ONE-ONE

Working with one person at the time is very satisfying. But in order to help more people, I am thinking of offering an online interactive course. However, I would like to get some experience first and have put together a free one month course, which offers 6x 40 minute sessions, starting on 4 November, ending on 9 December.

The sessions will be recorded and are available via multi media channels.
