Meditation is a life skill that helps us to cope better and enjoy life more. We all mastered the skill when we were babies. Babies live intuitively, knowing when it is time to retreat into their own silent space. Look at them, when they are content in their cot, eyes open and fully concentrating on one little something: a shadow on the wall, a moving mobile, a sound. And they are totally involved with their whole being in the experience. In doing that their mind is calming down, and they reach a meditative state.

When life evolves we seem to lose that natural ability. Life around us is so busy, always offering something that distracts us from our inner stillness. If we deprive ourselves and our mind from a regular rest, we get stressed. When we get too much stress, we get ill and unhappy.

Meditation is easy. Deep down inside us we all have the experience, we all have the intuitive knowledge. Unfortunately, the busy-ness of our lives prevents us from being in touch with intuition, so we start thinking about it. What is it? How does it work? Will I do it right? What model shall I use for meditation?

My straightforward advice is: just do it.

Meditation is the easiest way to rest your mind, relax your body and replenish your energy levels.

Keep an eye out for the next videos with guidelines; I will give you step by step the information you need to make meditation part of your busy life. Meditation with a Western flavour is my concept, based on Dr Jon Kabat-Zinn, Eckhart Tolle, Buddhism and my own experiences and ideas.
