When it comes to stress, you’ve got to do everything in your power to reduce the amount you are under. There is a reason that stress is known as the silent killer, and it could be having a bigger impact on you than you think. But, some people feel as though even when they try out various stress relief options, that it doesn’t work for them. So, what’s going on? Why is your stress not melting away in the way that you have been promised it would be by the media? Let’s have a look.

You’ve Not Found The Right Solution

The first reason could be because you have simply not found the right solution yet. Unfortunately, stress is not a one shoe fits all kind of problem, and if you are not finding the right solution for you, then you’re not going to feel any better. This sounds awful, but it’s just the truth. What we mean by this is that just because you are trying a tool that worked for someone else, that does not mean that you will.

You just need to opt for a trial and error approach. Try a few different things and go from there. For example, some people find that working on their breathing helps, others find a stress ball useful, where some get medical cannabis to cope with theirs.

You’ve Not Found The Root Cause

It could also be because you’ve not yet found the root cause of the stress. Doing things to manage your stress is really good, but it’s not going to matter if you have not found the root cause. You need to think carefully about the stresses in your life, and try to identify where they are coming from. It might seem like a fruitless task, or as though there are too many stress triggers to choose from, but that’s okay. Find the information you need, and even if there are plenty of reasons for you to be stressed, there is likely one that is having more of an impact than the others.

You’re Not Willing To Change Anything

The last thing that we want to say is that a lot of people do not find success with getting rid of their stress because they are not willing to change anything about their life. If this is the case, then there is nothing anyone can do to help you. It’s important that you are willing to do whatever you can do to see results here, but if you’re stuck in your ways and have no interest in changing them, then that’s a problem all on its own.

It’s easy to think that one tiny little change is going to make your life ten times better in terms of stress, but this is only going to be the case if you are consistent. You’ve got to put the effort in, or stress will end up running your life before you know it.
