Why everyone should meditate

Why everyone should meditate

Someone is sitting with their eyes closed, they look relaxed. You wonder, are they asleep? Are they bored? Thinking of work or other things? This person might be meditating. Meditation is an activity, which requires to be really alert. Meditation is mental fitness training. An intense and enriching experience.

Meditation is really exciting

  1. You never know what is going to happen: you might feel warm, see colours, feel emotional, get ideas, etc. It is the surprise.
  2. It makes you feel so good afterwards. Similar to a workout, the aftermath makes you feel calm and in control
  3. You can feel your body from the inside. Whenever a muscle is tired I can feel it during my meditation.
  4. It is easy to detach from body and emotions. This helps to get more clarity and also not being consumed by feelings.
  5. Without talking about it, you can sort things out via meditation.

What is also really good is that it doesn’t need to take a lot of time. Starting with just a few times 1 minute a day will benefit you. And of course, if you want to do it for longer, it will only get better.

I designed 5 years ago a programme based on a 1 minute meditation with amazing results.

People who did it for 4 weeks changed their stress levels, felt more in control and were happier. Mariette’s One Minute Meditation program
