Who lives your life? Is it you or do you let your life be directed by others? What is important in your life?

  • Is it to do the right thing for other people?
  • Is it to act as is expected of you?
  • Is it to take the correct action within context?
  • Not upsetting others, not going for a confrontation, keep yourself safe…..
All the above are referring to an external frame of reference: other people, your social setting, the moral values of a community or a family. Any decision you make, that is based on an external frame of reference might clash with your internal frame of reference.
If you are aware of who you are, your emotions, your values, you will make choices that are the right ones for you. Regardless, what other people say……. This article is about that.
